T-GNSS stands for "TVWS Based Guard and Surveillance System".
Existing Guard and Surveillance Systems used fiber optic cable for high-capacity CCTV video transmission.
T-GNSS applies the next-generation tactical wireless technology, 'TVWS (White Space),' which not only dramatically reduces the initial setup and maintenance costs associated with traditional fiber optic networks but also seamlessly integrates with next-generation systems such as drones and robots."
" What is the TVWS(White Space)? "
TVWS stands for TV White Space, a wireless technology that utilizes the golden frequency range of 470MHz to 790MHz for internet communication. Its low-frequency characteristics provide excellent obstacle penetration and diffraction performance, allowing for stable communication even in adverse weather conditions or when obstacles are present.
The Ministry of National Defense of South Korea is focusing on the potential of TVWS and integrating it into various fields, including Guard and Surveillance Systems and MUM-T.
